[#DIV28SUPER] Doctoral Program in Health Behavior at the University of Florida: Priority Deadline, December 1st

Dear Students and Colleagues,

The Department of Health Education & Behavior is recruiting new students for our doctoral program in health behavior! Learn more about the exciting research we are conducting in the addictions, HIV, sexual behavior, nutrition, obesity and physical activity. Our research includes observational/survey, experimental and randomized controlled trial methods. Several faculty have interest in assessment and interventions involving mobile health (mHealth) as well. Our department and university have outstanding training resources for graduate students. If these research areas are of interest and clinical training is not a high priority, you might be a great fit for our program.

Read more about our program and admissions process, read slides and watch the recording from our recent virtual open house here: https://hhp.ufl.edu/admissions/heb-phd/

Faculty who are actively recruiting new students include the following:

Liana Hone, Ph.D., MPH: role of alcohol and drinking venues in sexual aggression

Danielle Jake-Schoffman, Ph.D.: interventions (primarily technology-based) to promote physical activity and healthy eating, obesity prevention/treatment

Robert Leeman, Ph.D.: etiology and interventions (primarily technology-based) for substance misuse and HIV prevention

Mildred Maldonado-Molina, Ph.D.: health disparities in child/adolescent health, particularly in relation to alcohol

Please contact Jenny Neelands at Jennifer4@ufl.edu (also cc'ed here) with any questions or feel free to reach out directly to any faculty of interest.

Best,
