This is new to me but my kids say I am out of touch. A popular way to smoke marijuana is called a 'spliff.' Its a mix of cannabis  and tobacco. Seems pretty horrible to me, mixing a highly addictive substance with marijuana. Is this a common term?

Re: [#DIV28SUPER] cannabis

And it's a particularly common way to consume cannabis in Europe, even for folks who don't otherwise use tobacco. Some folks are surprised when they develop a tobacco addiction from smoking spliffs (same thing happens with blunts here in the US).  Some US cannabis users considers Europeans lightweights because they avoid using pure cannabis in favor of spliffs.

  • A spliff is an old school term originally referring to any joint where you might have to " split the difference " between tobacco and cannabis. It can be flower or hash that is mixed with tobacco.
