March with APA | April 22, 2017 • Washington D.C. | | The March for Science is just over a week away and we're so excited that we'll be representing science and APA together! Where should we meet? APA will be meeting in front of the mall-side (south) entrance to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History (Google map) between 9am and 2pm, Saturday, April 22nd. Come gather together and pick up signs, stickers, and buttons. APA staff will be wearing blue "I'm PSYCHed for SCIENCE" t-shirts and we'll be holding this banner: | | While you're getting geared up… Why we march Read about why APA has chosen to join the March for Science. Connect with us on Twitter! Tell us why you March for Science, and send your Science March related photos and videos to @apascience and we will retweet the best ones! Adovcating for psychological science Friday, April 21, from noon to 1:30 PM EDT, APA will be livestreaming an advocacy training session, "Beyond the March: Advocating for Psychological Science." The training will focus on how to communicate effectively with policymakers about the importance of psychological research and evidence-based policy. A link to the livestream will be posted online, or if you've already registered we'll be sending you more details in a separate email. Register at the March for Science website Be sure to register for the march so that the March for Science organizers can keep track of how many will attend. They'll also send important follow up messages on how you can continue to support science after the march. | | | |
