Apply to become an APA Science Student Council member

Deadline: June 15, 2022

The APA Science Student Council (SSC) is seeking new members for the September 2022 - September 2024 term. The SSC is a diverse group of graduate students in psychological science who advise the APA Science Directorate on how it can best serve the science student population. The nine-member SSC pursues a number of projects, including organizing student programs for the APA Annual Convention; advocating for federal funding for psychological research and training; polling graduate students on training issues and emerging topics in psychological science; and making recommendations on the directorate's student programs. The SSC reports to and collaborates with the APA Board of Scientific Affairs and works cooperatively with the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS).

The SSC is seeking applicants in the following broad research areas:

• Behavioral neuroscience
• Clinical science
• Health psychology
• Social/personality psychology
