Tenure Track Position in Behavioral Neuroscience to begin August of 2019.
Kansas State University: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN BEHAVIORAL NEUROSCIENCE. The Department of Psychological Sciences at Kansas State University seeks to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the Department's Behavioral Neuroscience area to begin August 2019. The Behavioral Neuroscience area is part of a research-based Ph.D.-granting department in which faculty members conduct research, supervise graduate students, and teach two courses (graduate and/or undergraduate) each semester. A strong record of publication, demonstrated excellence in teaching, and the ability to develop a funded research program are required. We are seeking candidates who will complement current faculty research interests and contribute to the Cognitive and Neurobiological Approaches to Plasticity center (http://www.k-state.edu/cnap/), which is housed within the department. Some examples of complementary research interests include, but are not limited to, the neurobiology of reward and decision, plasticity, aging, neurodegeneration, and traumatic brain injury. Cores exist within the Department of Psychological Sciences and across campus for numerous procedures including small animal NMR or MRI, molecular biology, and microscopy. Postdoctoral experience is desirable.
