We are writing this message to remind you of two important deadlines that are rapidly approaching for scientific programming at the 2014 APA Annual Convention in Washington DC on August 7-10, 2014.
The first deadline is for cross-cutting, integrative programming across the different divisions of APA to highlight the unifying nature of psychology as a
discipline. If you have an idea for a draft of collaborative programming between
Division 28 and any other Divisions, the symposia, workshops, or panel discussion drafts are due by Friday, November 1, 2013.
The second deadline is for Divisional 28 Programming for Psychopharmacology (symposia, skill-building sessions, posters, papers, and panel discussions) and is Monday, December 2, 2013. Importantly, if a proposal is not accepted for the Collaborative Programming initiative (deadline, Friday, November 1, 2013), Division 28 can still consider your submission via the traditional division programming process. (deadline, Monday, December 2).
The call for Collaborative Programming and/or regular Divisional Programming and online submission of your symposia, paper, abstract, etc., can be found here: http://www.apa.org/convention/proposals.aspx.
If you have any questions, comments, or topics you would like to see at the 2014 Annual convention, please email either myself (ellen.walker@temple.edu) or Rich Allen (Richard.Allen@ucdenver.edu).
Looking forward to seeing you in Washington, DC next summer!
Ellen Walker, President Elect
Richard Allen, 2014 Programming Chair
