[#DIV28SUPER] Fw: Remembering Howie Rachlin

Dear Division 28 colleagues,

Those of you familiar with the literature on the behavioral economics of addiction know the intellectual debt we owe to Howard Rachlin, who recently passed. He was one of the giants in psychology and behavioral economics, and his seminal and ground-breaking work on behavioral choice has touched and shaped many careers and research paths, including in our field. As described below, Leonard Green, one of his graduate students and a major force in behavioral economics as well, is hosting a Zoom event to remember Howie at the May meeting of the Society for the Quantitative Analysis of Behavior. It's open to all, all you need to do is pre-register. Please pass this along to others who may want to be there.

Dear Members of Division 25,

I'd like to make you aware of a special session to honor and remember Howard Rachlin.  At the conclusion of the first day of the SQAB meeting, Saturday, May 22, 6:15pm Eastern, we will be having a zoom session for anyone to attend to allow an opportunity to remember and appreciate Howie Rachlin and his contributions to our field.  Several people already have agreed to talk, each only for 2-3 minutes, and we welcome others to be there and listen and, if they want, to add any comments.

To attend you need not be registered for SQAB, but you will need to register for the Zoom Howie Hour using the following link:

Please feel free to pass this message along to those you feel might want to join us.
