See here https://etendering.ted.europa.eu/cft/cft-display.html?cftId=14842 for a potential opportunity for someone interested in animal welfare. The information specifically mentions a potential interest in behavioral pharmacology.

It's a 3-year project with a budget of EUR 500k. The deadline for submission of the offer is 27 September.

The main tenderer has to be in the EU ("access to EU market"), but it is possible to subcontract the activities to non-EU organisations/individuals.

[#DIV28SUPER] Membership to Division 28

Hi everyone,

The division of Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse (Division 28) (soon to be renamed the Society for Psychopharmacology and Substance Use) of the American Psychological Association (APA) was formed in 1967 to allow for psychologists and pharmacologists who were interested in behavioral pharmacology to come together and share their research and ideas. This original concept is still the driving focus behind the division nearly 60 years later.

While the cost to being a member of Division 28 is a bargain ($20 for members and $9 for student members), the value that can be obtained for you is immeasurable. As a member of Division 28, you have access to numerous benefits including access to several listservs, newsletters (sent out three times per year), and opportunities for awards. By being a member of Division 28 in APA, you also have the power APA offers as an advocacy group for various psychological issues that other organizations do not offer. Please note that you do not need to be a member of APA to join Division 28 or to support and maintain your Division 28 membership.

Please consider joining/continuing to support Division 28 and maintain your division benefits. You can join or renew your membership now at https://www.apa.org/renew or here (note, you may first need to log in to your MyAPA account). If you have any difficulties joining/renewing or believe you have received this email in error, please reach out to me at yatesj1@nku.edu.

Also, the following link (https://www.apa.org/science/about/elevating-psychological-science) explains how the APA has been working to improve, promote, and apply psychological science.

Best,

Justin

[#DIV28SUPER] Call for Division 28 archival materials

Hi all,

I'm sending the email below on behalf of Ty Schepis, our division Archivist.

Thank you,

Matt

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Members of APA Division 28,

The division is working to create an accessible archive of division records and other materials, with the ultimate goal of making this accessible to the entire membership of the division. As a first step, however, we need to collect all materials that are relevant to the division, including board minutes, committee minutes or reports, and any other information that would be worth including in an archive. As the division's Archivist, you can send those materials directly to me (schepis@txstate.edu). Alternatively, if the materials are housed in a cloud storage system like Box, Google Drive, or something similar, you can grant me access to the folder(s), and I can pull the materials that way. Please note that my institution has email file size restrictions, so if you send any big files they may bounce back. In that event, we can use a file transfer service as needed.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for your help with this divisional initiative!

Best wishes,

Ty Schepis
