Full Time Research Assistant Position at Dartmouth College:
Topic: Digital Assessment and Therapeutics: Cannabis/Marijuana and Co-Occurring Disorders

The Center for Technology and Behavioral Health (CTBH: http://www.c4tbh.org/) at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth currently has a Research Assistant position open to assist Dr. Alan Budney's research team on projects focused on the (1) development and validation of a digital assessment tool to measure cannabis consumption and risk, and (2) the development and testing of digital assessments and interventions for substance use disorders and related health conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Assistant will work on:
(1) an NIH-funded R01 project designed to develop and validate a digital assessment tool to measure cannabis consumption and determine how consumption patterns relate to risk. The RA will work with our team on all aspects of the study – conducting interviews, recruiting participants through social media, programming and implementing digital surveys, monitor, manage, and manipulate data, assist with human subjects (IRB) compliance administrative tasks, assist with development of presentations and manuscripts, communication and coordination with our collaborative researchers at Columbia University.
(2) assist with digital assessment and intervention projects being conducted by our research team or by affiliates of the CTBH, and assist with the development of resource and dissemination materials for the Center.

The person in this position will will benefit from the rich academic environment of the CTBH and our T32 training program in the science of co-occurring disorders. You will have the opportunity to attend seminars, presentations, and workshops. Opportunities will be provided to work with senior investigators and postdoctoral fellows on data analyses, manuscript preparation, and research presentations. This position will provide excellent research experience for persons seeking to build skills necessary for conducting human behavioral and clinical research, and for those planning to apply to graduate or medical school who are interested in careers that involve research.

REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience in research with human subjects.
Bachelor's degree in a health sciences field preferably in psychology, biobehavioral health, human biology, health psychology, behavioral medicine or related fields.
A career interest in health behavior and clinical research or a related field.
Experience and interest in data manipulation and management is desirable.
A 2-year commitment to the position is preferred. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, responsible, able to work independently, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as meticulous attention to detail.
