[DIV28SUPER] day one

Dear Division 28 Colleagues-
We had a tremendous first day at this year's APA convention. It was wonderful to celebrate our award winners, Allison Kurti, Kelly Dunn and Mark Sobell--they each gave fantastic presentations about their work. We also had the opportunity to learn about technology innovations for research in populations with HIV and heard about the exciting work of our five new Fellows who were elected in 2014: Cecile Marczinski, Catherine Stanger, Karen Ingersoll, Mark LeSage and Eric Donny.
Today promises to be another day of strong programming including a session on marijuana and the adolescent brain and our Early Career Investigator Poster Session, sponsored with NIDA, NIAAA and Division 50.
I would like to draw your attention to two additional programming updates. First, the room for the Collaborative Session on "Sex, Drugs and Dopamine" is incorrect in the program we sent out. That will be in room 716b. Also, although it was not listed in our program, one of our very illustrious members, Kathleen Grant, will be giving a Master Lecture entitled "Consequences of Heavy Alcohol Drinking: Advances from a Monkey Model" on Saturday, August 8 at 2 PM in Room 206C of the Convention Centre.
Thanks again to all of you who have been able to attend! Looking forward to seeing more of you today!
-Bill.
