I.    Job Opening for Program Officer at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)

NIDA’s Division of Neuroscience and Behavior (DNB) is recruiting for a Program Officer position within the Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience (BCN) Branch. The Program Officer is expected to oversee a portfolio covering neurocognitive mechanisms related to substance use disorder (SUD) and bidirectional translational research through human laboratory studies and animal models. In addition, the Program Officer is expected to participate in NIDA-wide and NIH-wide activities related to neurocognition and SUD. Required expertise includes:

  • Neurocircuitry and cognition related to SUD
  • Biostatistical approaches used to analyze large-scale datasets
  • Advanced analysis methods for neuroimaging data
