[DIV28SUPER] Respond quickly to suggest qualified psychologists for Institute of Medicine project

Dear Colleague:

The Institute of Medicine is seeking nominations for individuals to serve on a committee for

a new fast-track, 6-month study. Please act by August 9 to suggest well-qualified psychologists

whom APA can recommend for this important study. Please forward this note to listservs or

colleagues who might be interested.

Overview of the Study

The Institute of Medicine will convene a committee to develop and recommend

12 indicators and 24 objectives for consideration by the U.S. Department of

Health and Human Services for guiding a national health agenda and for

consideration for inclusion in Healthy People 2020. It is anticipated that

the work of the committee will build upon the 1999 IOM report, Leading

Health Indicators for Healthy People 2010, and the work of the Committee on

the State of the USA (SUSA) Health Indicators. The product of the committee

will be a consensus letter report.
