Fulltime Lecturer, University of Florida.  The Department of Health Education and Behavior (HEB), College of Health and Human Performance at the University of Florida (UF) invites applications and nominations for two full-time non-tenure-earning faculty Lecturer positions. UF is a dynamic Carnegie Foundation Research University with very high research activity that educates approximately 55,000 students annually. The Department of HEB (http://heb.hhp.ufl.edu/ ) currently enrolls over 600 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate students with 17 full-time faculty members, including 8 lecturers and 9 tenure-track faculty members. This 9-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) position will begin August 16, 2019 continuing through May 15, 2020 and is renewable on a yearly basis. Summer teaching opportunities are often available, but not guaranteed, and UF has a competitive benefits package. The primary position responsibility is teaching required and elective courses in health education and behavior at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The teaching component of the position will include both residential and online courses with an expected maximum teaching assignment of four courses per semester, or equivalent assignments of effort in teaching, service, or research. Limited involvement in service and governance at the department, college, and university levels is also expected. Successful applicants will be given opportunities and time to expand the breadth of their teaching experience and to develop new coursework and educational programs. The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Health Education and Behavior or a related field and experience teaching university-level courses. Previous experience as a course director, developing online courses, and advising undergraduate and graduate students is preferred.
