[#DIV28SUPER] APA Voting - PLEASE READ

Greetings APA Division 28,

I hope everyone is doing great and enjoying some early fall weather.  I'm writing to encourage everyone to exercise their voting privileges as APA ballots for president and board of directors are now accessible to all APA members.  Voting is done via a unique link that is sent via e-mail to each person.  If you have not received this e-mail yet, please log into APA and check your membership status.  I have found that sometimes membership can lapse unintentionally, so please consider renewing if this has happened.

Each year the Div 28 Executive Committee meets to discuss the candidates for president to identify those who's missions statements and campaign communications best align with the interests of Div 28.  Typically this centers predominantly around advocacy for science and use of evidence-based practices, but can also extend to other areas.  This year, the Executive Committee recommends that you consider ranking Cynthia de las Fuentes, Diana Prescott and Beth Rom-Rymer highest among there candidates for president.  Please note that they are listed here in alphabetical order by last name, not by order in which the division supports their candidacy.

As a quick reminder, the APA ballot system awards "points" to any candidate that is ranked by an individual voter, no ranking results in no points.  Also, historically the number of eligible members who actually vote is surprisingly low.  I encourage everyone to PLEASE VOTE.  This is an area where Division 28 can really make a difference in the leadership of one of the most impactful scientific organizations in the U.S.

That's all for now, but expect more updates from the division in the coming months.  Lots of good things in the works!
Regards,

-Ryan
