[#DIV28SUPER] Research Society on Alcoholism Mentoring Program

RSA MENTORING PROGRAM

Dear Colleagues and Students,

The Research Society on Alcoholism (RSA) Education Committee and Mentoring Subcommittee is pleased to announce that it will be offering an expanded mentoring program for those planning to attend the meeting. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a mentor or mentee to complete an application at the link below. You can complete a mentor or mentee application before registering for the RSA meeting.

The program will include the following expanded features:

  1. A longer time for mentoring pre-meeting (up to 3 months)
  2. Expansion of who is eligible for mentoring (undergraduates through early career faculty and all levels in between) though preference will be given to students, especially from underrepresented/disadvantaged backgrounds and first-time meeting attendees.
  3. Expanded criteria that will be used to match mentors and mentees, including research interests/background, type of institution and aspects of lived experience.
  4. Those at the graduate student through early career faculty levels may apply to serve as mentors, to receive mentorship, or both. Those who would like to apply for both should complete both applications below.

Below please find links for the applications to complete if you would like to serve as a mentor and/or request mentorship. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Robert Leeman (Robert.leeman@ufl.edu) or Dr. Teresa Ramirez (teresa_ramirez@alumni.brown.edu).
