My good friend (and 2012 APA President) Suzanne Bennett Johnson, contacted my about Dr. Susan McDaniel who is seeking nominations for APA President. You may recall that running for APA President is a two-step process. The five candidates who get the most nominations then run for APA President. Suzanne, who was a strong science President, thinks Dr. Susan McDaniel would make an excellent APA President, particularly in this time of major health care reform and need for evidence-based care. Dr. McDaniel is an expert on integrated health care and current Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Rochester. She has a long history of professional service within both APA and family medicine but also has an impressive publication record. I have attached a brief bio and encourage you to take a look at it and if you are so inclined to nominate her for APA President.
